Heat Treatment Guide & Properties
EN-19 steel responds very well to quenching and tempering, allowing it to achieve a wide range of mechanical properties. It is commonly supplied in the quenched and tempered condition for high-strength applications, while surface hardening processes such as induction hardening can be applied for improved wear resistance.

■ Chemical Composition
EN-19 steel derives its performance from a balanced alloy composition of Chromium (0.90–1.40%) and Molybdenum (0.20–0.40%). Chromium improves hardenability and wear resistance, while molybdenum enhances toughness and strength retention. This combination allows EN-19 to outperform plain carbon steels in high-stress and fatigue-loaded applications.
